What we do

Thousands of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in the Midlands now
enjoy a greater degree of freedom, which Variety Club Midlands has been able
to provide through the generosity of people who support our functions, sponsor
our efforts or make donations.   
                                                                                                                                                         
In the last 18 months alone we put  14 Variety Club Sunshine Coaches worth £370,000 
on the road in the  Midlands (below)  together with 18 wheelchairs and spent thousands
more on items like car seats, special beds and bedding and medical equipment.

We have over the years funded appeals for vital equipment like special baths, height 
adjustable electric beds and  specialist toys - and even a pony for the Riding for the
Disabled Association!    
                                                                                      
Add these sums of money to about £4 million that Variety Club Midlands
has raised over the past 15 years and you can begin to see just what powerful
forces we can bring to bear on helping the children who really need help. But
it is never enough.

There are always more demands upon our efforts than can be met at the
monthly sitting of the Midlands Appeals Committee. Which is why Variety
Club Midlands is making a concerted effort to involve more businesses,
voluntary bodies and individuals in fundraising.                                                                                                                  

The more support we can encourage the more support we can give to these
worthy causes.
